New Website: TextLinksGuide.com
Text Links Guide is my guide to text links, and how you can "manipulate" them, within the boundaries allowed by the search engines, to increase your site's link popularity, PageRank, search engine rankings, and traffic.
New Website: GgBattle.com
Being a professional search engine optimizer and writer I constantly find myself comparing 2, 3 even 4 versions of a word in Google to see which is the most popular format. I usually open a few web browser tabs and enter the search in each one, then compare the numbers by flicking through each tab.
It works okay, but to make it easier I decided to create a simple site that allows me to compare 2-4 keywords in Google on the same page - no need to open multiple browser tabs or flick through them to see what the results are.
The resulting site is simple enough - one page broken into 4 vertical frames, each with a Google search box.
I wanted to use "GoogleBattle.com" as the domain, but Google would probably have taken the domain away from me before I could plead for forgiveness. So I came up with something similar, but still memorable, GgBattle.com. I hope you find the site useful.
New Website: UKKeywordBattle.com
My fellow Brits - you may now also simultaneously compare the keyword popularity and the number of searches for 2 or 3 keywords in the Yahoo Search Marketing keyword tool for UK search terms with the UK Keyword Battle website.
New website: USAKeywordBattle.com
Have you ever wanted to simultaneously compare the keyword popularity and the number of searches for 2 or 3 keywords in the Yahoo Search Marketing keyword tool? Well, now you can with the USA Keyword Battle website.
New Website: AustraliaKeywords.com
G'day to those living down under. Here is your version of the Yahoo Search Marketing keywords and max bids site: Australia Keywords.
New Website: CanadaKeywords.com
Canadians can now access the Yahoo Search Marketing keywords and bids tool simultaneously at Canada Keywords. Please note that the results are only available in French - an English version is not offered by Yahoo.
New Website: UKKeywords.com
Along the same lines as my USA Keywords web tool, here's one for UK Yahoo Search Marketing advertisers. UK Keywords shows related searches, search count for the previous month, and the maximum bids.
New Website: USAKeywords.com
I've just launched, USA Keywords, a web tool which displays related searches, the number of times each keyword was searched on last month, plus the maximum bids in the Yahoo Search Marketing USA network. I hope you find it useful.
Michael Wong Blogs Again After 2 Year Break
It's been almost 2 years since my last blog post and I think it's time to resurrect the blog.
It's also that time in my life when I feel the need to buy a house for my family. Renting has its advantages, but the landlord could take the house back at anytime. So I need a more permanent home. Buying a house requires a lump sum for the deposit, stamp duty, legal fees, etc. And saving has never been my strong point.
As such, I need to increase my income dramatically within the next 6-12 months. And I've decided on a new strategy to help me achieve this. Will the strategy work? Who knows. But it will be fun seeing if it does.
My new strategy is to build up my online real estate. The way I see is that the more virtual real estate one owns, the more nets I have to catch targeted visitors. And more targeted visitors equals more money.
I've come across some amazingly successful dot-comers and one common theme to their success is that they have dozens, if not hundreds, or even thousands of domains. I "only" have about 16 websites at the moment. Some have been very successful, while others have only achieved moderate success. So I've been thinking about the idea of expanding my virtual web empire.
There are pros and cons to this strategy.
The main benefits are:
- New "non-commercialized" (at least in the beginning) websites are independent of my commercial websites. As such, more people are likely to link to them.
- It's a lot easier to sell text links on 100 different domain homepages, than to sell links on 100 webpages on a single website.
- I have the option to sell off individual domains any time I want to raise cash.
And the main drawbacks are:
- It will take longer to dig each site out of the Google Sandbox and gain PageRank for it.
- I have to pay $8 a year for the domain registration, which could get costly if I end up building thousands of websites. But then again if I can't make at least $8 a year from each domain, I might as well quit this business.
I think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks so I've decided to give this strategy a try. New websites will be announced in the coming days and weeks.
