Google Developing Email Ad Service
Google is developing a service that could dramatically extend the reach of its keyword-based advertising by linking such ads to email. In fact, Google's AdSense contextual ads are already used in a number of email newsletters. They have recently made several email-related acquisitions, including an email management software maker. In 2001 Google registered the domain name googlemail.com. There are also rumors that Google could be preparing to launch free email to compete with offerings from Yahoo and MSN's Hotmail.
